Hello, we are having a new kitchen built at the moment so all I have to cook with is a microwave, george foreman and a slow cooker. I got some steak and kidney from the butcher today, which I am planning to cook in the slow cooker for dinner tomorrow. Now for the tricky bit - would I be able to put a (previously frozen) puff pastry sheet on top of the steak & kidney in the slow cooker to make it into a pie? Would this work or not? I am scared to try in case it ruins my steak and kidney!
Any advice will be much appreciated.

I couldn't find anything in my cookery book about this but a google search shows up quite a few recipes with puff pastry. So by all means pick yourself a nice looking one:-

If you mean a raw pastry sheet I doubt this will work. Pastry generally needs a hot oven to cook.0
