BT Contract Length

Hi all,

Does anyone know what the contract length for the BT Anytime? with BT Broadband Option 3 is. I have tried to find out but BT dont want to tell me. I took out the contract last August. So i'm hoping it's 12 months.

TIA,

Martyn

    Hi,

I suspect that it will be an automatic renewing 12 month contract.

    Thanks Mark

Thanks, isplumm. Thats what I wanted to hear. Now for another question.

I'm looking through the guides and forums here, looking for the best deals on phone and broadband. Does anyone have recommendations or other sources of info that would help?

    Thanks,

    Martyn

    Hi,

The only question is - how much notice do you need to give on the BT anytime - cause it automatically renews ....???

isplumm, I'm guessing it would be thirty days, so thats what i'm going for. And i've got about 50 days until I hit the 1 year mark anyways.

But known BT they'll say it's 90 days and all the usual, but i'll deal with that if it comes to it.

    Hi,

What I am trying to tell you is that I suspect that you have an automatically renewing 12 month contract, so if you don't tell before a certain date they will automatically renew for 12 months & you will not be able to get out of it ....

By the way the name is Mark ... isplumm is my userid!!

Sorry - but what exactly are you talking about ?????

The BT Broadband might be an 18 month contract - BUT the BT Anytime phone package is NOT - it is a 12 month contract .... I know because this is the package I have ... the question is ... does it automatically renew - I believe it does .... but the OP may be lucky & be different to mine, but as mine is due for renewal a few months after the OP I suspect not.

There is no such thing as BT Anytime any more.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
