The normal strategy would be to first look at what similar properties in the same area had sold for. But it seems that Scottish entries for sale prices seem to have all sorts of weird details I don't understand. And the prices are up and down all over the place. But if you, being Scottish and presumably having studied the Scottish market and propertly law, can make sense of it, then it's the first thing to look at.0

If you can't afford to buy the whole property it suggests to me that you shouldn't buy a 25% share for the price of the whole thing a few years ago. First time buyers are making things worse by paying top dollar for part shares. If people don't buy these ridiculous schemes predicated on the fact that first-time buyers cannot afford first time buyer properties, prices will return to more reasonable levels.
A 25% share is completely useless. My policies are based not on some economics theory, but on things I and millions like me were brought up with: an honest day's work for an honest day's pay; live within your means; put by a nest egg for a rainy day; pay your bills on time; support the police - Margaret Thatcher.0 -
1/3 Whyte Placewent for £139k back in Feb if it's any help.
Have a look here
Have you been to look at the property? As it looks a little sorry for itself?"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0
