How long do you have to return faulty goods?

Hi!

I bought my dad a shaver for Christmas from Argos, and recently it's started smoking! I know he's had it a few months now, but how long do you get to return faulty goods if you have the receipt?

You should be able to take it back under the Sale of goods act. It most probally have at least a years warranty from the maker.
I should try argos first if you have the receipt so it will shave you postage sending it back.
