  • Hi,

sorry can not help with the Home Finance Software, but unless your finances are very complicated, why not make up a spreadsheet yourself in Excel or Open Office?

pc pro last year did a piece on software and were surprised that free software , some 2 or 3 programs were better than paid for software , I would be cautious of any software downloading bank details direct to your pc , in-case of hacking ,you may be liable for loss if you do not log on and go through bank secure site , there have been other comments about banks claiming clients pc infected.

You need to determine what format the banking system will let you download in. Unless they have a dedicated download format for the particular package you're thinking of, they'll likely output data in .csv format (comma separated variables), and you can then import that into whatever package you use.

Me, I'd just use Excel (assuming you have that already)

Are there any banks where you can download WITHOUT going through their secure site?
