i was thinking of driving down to pick it up...i would eat ice cream all day long if i could (keep my waist slim-ish, and keep all of my teeth!)

Great for Xmas - X rated

soak dried fruit overnight in favourite booze (I like amaretto, or an orange liquored) - add some finely chopped orange peel (no pith) or chopped candied peel. Remove ice cream from freezer and allow to soften for a while, fold fruit mixture in and put back in freezer. Yummy and can be eaten alone as a special Xmas treat. Adult only of course.

If you put it back into the freezer in a pudding basin, when you come to eat it, you can turn it out with a bit of holly on top as an alternative Xmas pud!

I also like to make a melon ice cream smoothie, just blitz melon and vanilla ice cream in the blender. If you want an alcoholic cocktail, add Midori.

Other good alcohol cocktail mixers for vanilla and milk shake mix are Blue Curaceo, Grand Marnier or Cointreau, Cherry Brandy, Baileys and Malibou. Makes whatever flavour you like.
