Can you cut down on your mobile costs at all? £70 seems a lot, I saved a fortune when I started PAYG and only use for emergencies.0 -

Nope, this is one of the things that looks high but covers it's cost, me and OH live in Leeds but none of our family do, we have family all over the place, and for our £25 a month each we get 1000 any network mins and 250 texts which enables us to keep in touch with our families, i especially use mine to keep in touch with my elderly grandma. we never go over our allowance but make the occasional peak call, i guess i could cut back on these but the contracts were only renewed in April and they are a fantastic deal in my opinion.
but i am prepared to make cut backs in other areasAll comments and advice given is my own opinion and does not represent the views or advice of any debt advice organisation.

EAR, what’s EAR mean? This seems very high
"EAR = ((1 + r)m) − 1
where m is the number of times (or periods) interest is compounded during the year and r is the interest rate per period. For example, if interest is compounded monthly, m = 12."
taken From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
i think it equates to around 1.41% per month as one of our rates at work is 15.9 %APR
hope that helpsDebit was £64k (light bulb Feb 05)

I am on Vodaphone PAYG with Stop The Clock, basically for an offpeak call the first 3 minutes are 5p a minute then you can talk for up to 60 minutes for free, so a 60 min call costs 15p. Might be cheaper than your contract?Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 126 :j
