hi, we missed out on the sun £15 holidays for this summer, so was looking for a cheap holiday if i could find one, kids break up on 23/07/10, so was thinking of going on a 7 night holiday on 24 july, to try and beat the rush but cant really find anywhere suitable for a price we can afford, was looking at a budget of £300 for the actual holiday does anybody know of anywhere i could likely get a 7 day holiday for this budget, would consider doing a monday - friday if there was really nothing we could do but would really like a 7 day holiday, it would be for 2 adults, and 3 children aged 8,7 & 4 months, would like it to be in th the southern of england but dont really mind, dont want to be going all the way up to scotland though, quite like norfolk, would be willing to go to wales, does not have to be anything spectacular, just as long as there are things for the kids to do
TIA
TIA
Take every day as it comes!!

You could buy a tent and get 2 weeks camping in cornwall for that if your careful.
John Fowlers, Near Bude. Cheaper at the end of august/early september though.
Plenty of smaller campsites fairly local, Tend to be cheaper if you travel out a bit.
The prices of caravans and chalets shocks me. We have been away 6 times in one year for less
than one week in one of their caravans.
I love Bude, Nice beaches and the Sea, Has a rockpool if the little ones dont like the sea.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I've managed to book a Scottish holiday for a family of 4 for £269 this year. Have booked 4 nights in a log cabin through Hoseasons and also booked another 2 nights at a Holiday Inn for their 2-4-1 offer that I picked up on here. Family room for 4 including breakfast, £25 per night. I'm quite looking forward to staying in the UK this year. Hoseasons have some really expensive properties but they also have a budget line too and they still have good reviews on Tripadvisor.0

Not sure if you are able to stretch the budget but Hoseasons do have some Chalets available. Riveria Bay was £375, Penstow park £362, Harts £378, New beach £382. All these are for 7 nights for the week you specified.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Hi Spaceman. You can definitely get a week in Norfolk for around £300 as long as you don't mind a cheap and cheerful resort with chalet accomodation. Hemsby is the cheapest resort on the Norfolk coast and whilst some might call it a bit "tacky" it is a fantastic base for exploring the Norfolk Coast and Broads and also situated close to Gt Yarmouth. Hemsby has a nice beach and all the usual amenities - cafes, soft play, swimming pool, mini funfair, crazy golf, arcades etc.
I have just had a look and there are chalets available on ebay for £325 that week but with make an offer. Also just worth sticking hemsby chalets in a search engine and see what comes up.0 -
forgot to say you can have some fantastic days out in the area courtesy of clubcard deals - pleasurewood hills, africa alive, dinosaur adventure and banham zoo especially.
Found a site with lots of chalets on although poss a bit over budget (last week of august is cheap though?)

West Wayland, Looe in Cornwall have static vans advertised for £300for the week, not sure of availability though, maybe worth a try.
