Ahhhhh there is only 1 whiskey to pass my lips and that is the famous old bourbon that Mr Daniels produces

Years ago, after a 'top-shelf taste-test' in a hotel in Thurso, I came to the conclusion that my favourite whisky was Isle of Jura. Really smooth, peaty and distinctive flavour. Unfortunately too expensive for everyday drinking but I still treat myself to a bottle every Christmas!0

For some reason, this thread caught my eye before all the others:)
Bells has always been my favourite for its taste and price0 -
Like most things, this comes down to personal taste and wallet size.
Personally, I prefer single malts, money shouldn't come into it too much as how much single malt would you drink in 1 sitting? I find cost per drink is within my budget for a cheeky snifter and a bottle can last me a year as I tend to mix & match, not just drink 1 bottle at a time.
In the past I drunk half a bottle at a party but in all honesty I should have started with a couple of singles then moved onto a blend!
I like highland & islands, Jura, highland park are 2 of my faves.0 -

I used to be an Isle of Jura drinker follwoing a couple of years in the Shetlands but found Dalwhinny afew years ago. It's much smoother although tastes similiar, ofter has £5 off in Sainsburys.0 -
Looking at my post it looks like I've already been at the bottle today :-)0
