I can't seem to post HTML Links, it may be because I'm stupid but they just end up in the format that I type them in without converting, like <a href="link">word</a> doesn't end up as "word". Is there something on the forum I need to enable?
Many thanks

Or paste it in the icon that shows Earth

Thanks but not quite what I meant, I can cut and paste a link but I can't put in a word that approximates to a link like I can in other forums. Like when it says click here and the word here is the link IYSWIM?0

Type the word you want displayed, highlight it, click the icon and insert the link you want."Now to trolling as a concept. .... The blue globe is pre-populated with http:/ so you need to delete that first before pasting your link then your link will work.0 -

Or the other way:
A quick (url=http//www.moneysavingexpert.com)test(/url)
but use square brackets [] where I have used normal ones ()"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
You probably realise now, but it may be worth pointing out that the reason the HTML in you first post didn't work is that formatting posts directly with HTML is disabled on these forums.
