NIP has to arrive at address of registered keeper within 14 days of offence for it to be enforceable
But obviously if lease car etc then that can be extended. But if you are registered keeper; as above.
(You could also get int the argument on RM postal services but (normally) it will deemed to be delivered the next day if correctly addressed and postmarked and sent 1st class.0 -
If in doubt Pepipoo is the answer.0

As mchale says 14 days for the NIP (notice of intended prosecution) or the actual summons from the date of the offence. With cameras they cannot send the summons as the driver will not have be identified.0

Here's my experience/knowledge
Came from a 40 into a 30 but i was still doing about 40-45 (its a pointless 30 zone so no opinions required), spotted the van in the distance braked lightly and continued at 30, there was a man in the van you could see him at the camera but i never heard anything from it, that was well over 6 months ago. I think sometimes it depends on if you actually bother noticing the van and know the road speed. Also as has previously been said your indicated speed was 80 which in reality is only 70-75 and incase you don't know they set there limits to 10% of speed limit plus 2-3mph i.e 80. I always drive at 80 (indicated) on the motorway when appropriate obviously, i even pass marked police cars at this speed and not once have i been pulled over. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, if you get something its just bad luck, if not learn to look further up the road in future

Also something people forget, if your in a company van/car they only have to send the NIP to the actual owner (probably a lease company) within 14 days, it might not reach you for 3-4 months after it passes through various people/companies!0

It is the Registered Keeper who must receive the NIP within 14 days of the alleged offence. Not the owner.0 -
