Hi People,

I bought two new tyres from Tyre Shopper and bought laser wheel alignment. Took my car into their Cambridge branch. Walked to the reception desk, I waited there for a few minutes while the men sat talking and eating in their office behind reception. I tapped on the glass, 1 guy came out, said to "leave your car here because we're busy and to come back in about 2 and half hours time - which I did. I explained to the guy I wanted the new tyres put at the front and the old ones at the back, he said "it'll cost £15." I said "since I've bought through Tyre-Shopper any extra work done is 10% off isn't it?" (whilst putting to the part in the email) he said "oh yes."
Anyway returned to pickup the car, the same thing happened. Went to reception and was made to wait for a few minutes. So I tapped on the glass. Different man came out and said "you have a thing for tapping on glass" I thought in my head "and you have a thing for customer service." Anyway they forgot about the 10% off and tried to charge me £15 for swapping tyres around. So I put £13.50 on the desk and said "I get 10%."

P.S Noticed on my receipt when I got home (because I bought laser allignment for £28) they have only aligned the fronts

Anyway National Tyre - consider yourself named and shamed!

I thought Tyre Shopper was just the same company as National. The tyre pages have the same structure as the tyre pages on National's website.

Tyre-Shopper is a franchise of National Tyre I believe.

Must be a bad depot, I have used a few and they have all been excellent (via tyre shopper).

Once I asked them to do the wheel alignment which they did and as they said it was ok they didn't even charge.

I would report this depot to their head office.

Stupid question but do they align rear wheels?

I have visited their website and sent them a message to their 'Customer Service' department. Thank you for the suggestion. If I hear anything back (which I doubt) I'll update you all.

    Update:
Email back: "Thank you for your enquiry, this has now been logged internally and you will be contacted within 5 working days. At National Tyres and Autocare we will do everything to ensure that your query is dealt with a minimum of inconvenience."

    Update x2
Recieved a phone call from the manager a week after the email to apologise. I was a bit disappointed I wasn't offered money off or a voucher towards some future work done - oh well sorry is better than nothing.
