Forgot to say VW, that was a great bargain on your mattress! The one in Netto was a memory foam one and cost £199 so good buy for you!

Sorry I haven't been around much the last few days. On the bright side though I've got a day off work tomorrow so no doubt I'll be here from opening time until you all kick me out at silly o'clock.... :beer:

did a steak and mushroom pie and it burnt on the outside and was so cold inside, the filling leaked out and the pie was empty in the end :o:o:eek::eek::eek::eek: got cheese as a precautionary measure :cool:

Evening all! Just off to bed. Spent a frantic evening running around as it's "green day" at school tomororw and DD has to wear something green. We have every other colour - pink, purple, turquoise - no green - typical! Have just managed to track down a T-shirt and we are borrowing shorts from our friends around the corner. Could kick myself - why aren't I more organised (I ask myself this all the time!). The answer is probably - too busy comping! Oh well.

Nice to see you skippy! Nice to see you too NNW - how's it all going? Glad to see I'm not the only one to can't cook!! Luckily OH was a chef so I can occasionally dip out and leave him to it.

DD is fine now wingo - thanks for asking, honny. You and yours OK? Wish we had a bit of rain down here - bloomin hot again!

Had three little wins today - garden games set, batteries and some books for DD. Been very thin on the ground this month, though.

Hey, thought I'd introduce myself. I'm quite a long time lurker of MSE forums but only joined recently and this board caught my eye. I've never thought about comping before but since reading the guide I've decided it sounds like a really fun thing to do (plus I'm a lazy student with a lot of free time in the summer holidays so I have a lot of time to commit).

I was just wondering how many, on average, people aim to enter say each week? I know it will vary between people but it just seems to me like people seem to win a LOT of things on here (from looking at people's signatures) so I'm guessing you all must enter a hell of a lot!

I enter around 700-1000 a week on average, I would say that's the same for most of the regular compers tbh x
