*sobs* I don't believe it, I've spilled tea all over my laptop and the keyboard is not working :( No way can I afford to replace it, which means no more comping :( It's covered in rice in the airing cupboard til tomorrow, please keep your fingers crossed that it works, I'm in tears here :(

Oh no! Is it still under warranty by any chance? House insurance may cover it too if it refuses to work.. my mum did a simialr thing to hers and it dried up okay, she just had problems uploading photos etc afterwards, and then the home insurance replaced it.. hope tomorrow brings good laptop news!

no warranty, it was second hand, and unfortunately we can't afford household insurance so no glimmer of hope at all :( Just got to hope it dries out.

Lynsey hope u r ok,Remove battery pack. if u can take off the keyboard, u should used distilled water and cotton wool to clean up and tea residue, then use a hairdryer on a cool setting to gently dry it.

Don't turn it on till totally dry, the above might do the trick, i done it on a vaio a few years back xxx
