Monday 12th July - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
:D
Morning everyone
I really wish my girls could stay in bed longer than 6.30am
Especially this morning as i had decided not to get up early for the crosstrainer as we walked quite far geocaching yesterday and so was a bit achey.
WI this morning and i have lost 1lb. Not great but i haven't been as focused over the last week so it is better than nothing
today
My colleague is back at work so i will catch up on all my bits i have put on the back burner while covering his job.
Update spending diary
Dinner from stores
check banking
send 1 ebay item
one poll
surveys
Create a holidays spreadsheet to work out what i am doing with the kids over the 6 weeks!
eat well and drink lots of water!
Mums for dinner
Right better get these chilren fed and clothed!!!

So your children are at home? The children here (in South Africa) return today after their one-month winter holiday (because of :footie:.) So traffic will return to its usual crawl :rotfl:
Morning All
Cold and sunny here, and we had a lovely weekend sitting out in the sun for lunch yesterday, and curling up by the fire in the evening
So today I have/will:
make a meal plan and get the shopping, bearing in mind that we are away next week, but will still need to feed the maid.
do 15 mins on the CT - I slept SO badly last night and lack of exercise may have contributed.
water my cuttings
:D We went for a short walk yesterday and took cuttings from the plants on the verges including a lemon tree, (and I also picked up some fallen lemons :j:j) So we have rosemary, lemon, roses and an unidentified flower thingy. I'm now wondering if I could grow an avocado tree.....
Fay? Help? :rotfl:
have arranged to pay the chap who services our car in the UK by bank transfer (can't rely on DD, her money is in a terrible state and if we transferred to her, it would get lost or absorbed
)
Will go through our UK post on Skype this evening with DD to ensure that we have received V5 documents and other important papers.
I'll plan the packing for next week. We're going to Mozambique which will be warmer than here :j:j Popeye is going on business and I'm just enjoying the ride
Have a great day everybody :A0 -
Morning all.
Not got a huge amount to do today but plan is:
Water the veggies in the garden -with water from the water butt
Walk to the shops to buy a cheap tin opener type money box for my £1's
Slow cooker dinner with all the left over veg
Buy nappies and toddler snacks with Boots points.
Do some surverys!
Sort through outgrow toddler clothes for Ebay!
So thats todays plan
Have a lovely day everyone0 -

I'm a bit late today - we were up late last night as had to take DD1 to the coach for her school trip to germany - at midnight:eek: So I let DD2 sleep in until just after8 and I drove her to school. Normally she walks with my friend and daughter, but they leave at 8. SO I drove her at 8.40 - much better;)
So, warm here, but dull. I must be busy today - didn't do much yesterday as was sooo tired. We stayed at my sister's on Sat night so were up late yakking, then up early yesterday morning.
