Getting married 30th July and the lady who was doing my flowers has just told me she can no longer do them!
I'm in Southampton, and need someone local and most importantly, available!
The trouble is I just don't want to panic and pay an extortionate amount for them or choose someone who is going to be rubbish. Surely, anyone that is good will be booked by now or think they can add loads on because of the short notice?
I need:
Bride bouquet
Bridesmaids bouquets x 3
Flower girl wand
Buttonholes for immediate wedding party
Table decorations
I would attempt it myself but haven't got enough time to practice and to be honest I still have loads to do. As you can tell by the late time I'm posting, I can't sleep because I'm so stressed out
Any advice much appreciated.
Thank you:)

Imagine giving you notice this late!! Could you start creating a list of local florists you know or have heard of or just go through yell.com and write down their names, numbers and address so you have your own mini directory to start tackling people tomorrow? Rather than sitting stressing atm? I'm nowhere near you I'm afraid, sorry0

These are the gumtree links, no one in southampton, good luck xx0 -
Thanks Lexxi, have a list to go through tomorrow.
I hadn't researched florists at all as I had this lady all ready. It's my sister's aunty in law if that makes sense and so I have to start from scratch.2010 Comp wins: Lamaze baby toy, Cushelle koala, Frusli bars, knitted monkey, nursery rhyme DVD

Do you know anyone even vaguely talented with flowers?
Is there a flower market in Southampton?
My cousin got married and her mother went to the local flower market the morning of the wedding, bought a bunch of flowers according to her specification and made up all the bouquests etc. herself the morning of the wedding. It cost a fraction of the price of hiring a florist.
Pass round the name of the person who has has let you down so badly as well. Don't let other brides suffer the same fate. xPlease call me 'Pickle'

I really don't know anyone talented like that at all, I wish I did! I'm getting married at 12 as well, so I need everything well organised in the morning.
I've phoned loads of places already and had no luck apart from one. They have quoted me £411, does this sound reasonable?2010 Comp wins: Lamaze baby toy, Cushelle koala, Frusli bars, knitted monkey, nursery rhyme DVD

£411 doesn't sound too unreasonable. I was quoted £550 for bouquet, 1 bridesmaid bouquet, buttonholes, 1 top table display and 10 table decorations if that gives you any sort of comparisonI really don't know anyone talented like that at all, I wish I did! I didn't have a price as it was being paid for by my sister and she was just being charged for the flowers not labour etc as it was one of her husbands relatives.
Just spoke to someone else who wanted £350 just for the bouquets
Sounds like quite a reasonable price from what Laura has said because I have 6 table decorations and then one top table display.2010 Comp wins: Lamaze baby toy, Cushelle koala, Frusli bars, knitted monkey, nursery rhyme DVD

Don't know what your colour scheme/preferred flowers are so this might not work....but why not get the wand and the buttonholes (for example) from ebay sellers?
There are many who will make them up really quickly, and will save you the time and cost of fresh ones.
Really hope you get your flowers - can't believe you got let down so close, did they give you a reason? I could understand if the lady is ill or something, I would make sure you know the reason before you tell anyone how awful she is
