I called an EA about a property last week, I was told that the property was a repo, the EA advised me that it wasn’t worth putting in a offer because I could lose valuation and solicitor fees and would be just a waste of time. I thought she was just being nice by advising me of the pitfalls. I was speaking to a friend at…

In the last housing crash it was generally known that a portion of the repo market was being dealt with under the counter. I don't see what is different now.

hmm, and I was wondering why the EA acted weird when I tried to view a repo last week.
First, they tried to discourage it - "we already have multiple offers over the asking price, blah blah"
Then failed to show up at the agreed time, and failed to answer my call.
I'm not going to call again, it's not worth the hassle.
