Debit Card/Withdrawning cash and charges

I've had a few charges on my account lately due to cash withdrawals and paying by card due to the transaction being taken but dont debitted. My account then allows me to withdraw cash, which then takes you overdrawn and my bank charges me> are these charges allow, as they are on the banks systems as being authorised????

Get a notebook and a pen and make sure that you keep track of your account.

Once you have presented your card for cash withdrawal or a shop transaction, deduct that amount from your available balance. No matter how long the transaction takes to show up on your account, that money is no longer yours.

Treat the money as spent (which it is).

It is your responsibility to make sure there is enough money in your account to cover all transactions.

Just because the ATM will let you have money, it doesn't mean you should take it out.

In this day and age of free internet banking, mobile phone banking, telephone banking and ye olde simples notebook and pen there is little excuse for not knowing how much you have in your account at any given time.
Remember this: nothing worth doing is easy.
