Hi,
We going to extend our kitchen and fancy one of those American style side-by-side fridge freezers.
The one we like is a Samsung with the CoolSelect zone, model RS21JLSG. Does anyone have one of these (or a similar model) and what do you think to them - they're expensive so don't want to make a mistake :undecided
Any comments much appreciated.

Just bought a similar model RS21DCSV from memory.
Sorry if I'm stating the obvious but remember to allow for plumbing in the cold water supply to near the fridge.
The plus is the constant supply of cooled drinking water. We've thrown away the water purifying jugs now. Also you don't need to freeze ice cubes constantly.
The one disadvantage is that the ice making/ water unit takes up a lot of space in the freezer half. Consequently we have loads of spare room in the fridge but not really enough room in the freezer.
If you want to be truly money saving, the white models are loads cheaper than the silver.
Search around for the best price (incl. delivery costs) that has stock. We found that the cheapest prices (including Dixons) had no stock. I bought from Appliance-city internet store. Samsung give you a 2 year guarantee so don't be fooled by stores offering this as a bonus, its available as standard.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Thanks for your reply silvercar.
We don't really use a vast amount of frozen stuff so it should be OK in that respect. Can't wait to have chilled, filtered water "on tap" so to speak.
Thanks also for the advice on where to buy. I've seen the one I want in Comet and it's £1399 (it's the one with the silver glass finish) but I've found them cheaper on line.0
