OU - IT Courses - Grant?

Hi all,
I'm due to start 2 OU courses - T175 & M150 at the end of Sep / early Oct.
Due to being in receipt of income based JSA, my fees have been paid and I've been told that I'll receive the £250.00 course grant.
From their website however, and elsewhere on the web, I've read that they also offer an extra £250.00 on top to go towards to a PC.
Does anyone know about this, if I'd be eligible and how I go about applying?!
Many Thanks,
Jack

Hiya,
I have already emailed the OU and am waiting for a reply.
Just wondered if any of you out there had any info re this!
Cheers,

The grant is only payable if the course specifies that a PC is necessary to do the course.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

Thanks CIS,
Yes you're right, from the info it seems they only give out the PC grant when a PC is required for the course in question.
For both my courses, T175 & M150, a PC is essential!
If any of you guys have applied for these or similar courses / the grant, please let me know.
Many Thanks,

I've always received the form after all the other funding was sorted, a little before the start of the course. I've never taken it up, because you have to sign to say that you haven't already got a PC that is adequate for the course.0

ss,
Thanks, but I'm already aware of this.
However, my PC just isnt up to scratch - it won't even play DVDs..
As the materials come on DVD, I've currently got a bit of a problem, thus their funding to help with buying a new PC would be a huge help!
So, if any of you has any experience of the OU PC grant, I'd be interested to hear from you.
Cheers,
Jack0
