Dispute with LL over replacing locks

In your position I would change the lock myself and take the key to her. At least that solves your security. I would not waste time arguing.
If she does not like it, she must change to lock herself at the end of the tenancy and argue the toss with the Deposit Protection Scheme.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

As I understand it, you are going way beyond your responsibilities by allowing entry to your dwelling when you are not there. You don't even have to allow it at all even if you are there..
If she still grumbles just point this out and refuse to allow any entry or inspection whatsoever until you have vacated the premises. That'll larn 'er"If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

Tenants are responsible for paying the costs of things caused through their own negligence, even when done accidentally.
Yes, but reasonable costs, not LL-makes-it-up-as-she-goes-along costs...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
But if the key had not got lost in the post
And she had recieved it
She would have carried on as normal, no?
Simply handing the key to the next tenant?
So what stops you copying that key and entering the property afterwards and stealing stuff. Or passing the key to the local !!!!!? ( cant believe this was edited out, criminal gang)
This isnt about security, its about stuffing you financially.
Have you now moved out? I take it you dont have access anymore? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
