Seller account is now suspended

Hello,
I have purchased an item via paypal, and the seller account is now showing as suspended. The item has not arrived yet - but is there any way I can find out more information or get my money back if it doesn't arrive?
The item itself is only £14, but as its bulky and from Germany the postage brings the total to £56!!
All advice appreciated
Cheers

have you emailed the seller to start with?Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
I had emailed a query during the auction, which they replied to - and emailed twice afterwards to ask for an estimate of delivery time (although its only been a few days since the purchase).
I have also emailed my concerns that their account is suspended - but I'm not sure ebay will deliver this to a suspended account (from reading other threads here about suspension). And I have emailed Ebay (awaiting reply)0 -
Someone with more epxerience will be along, but you can file non performing seller via paypal.Debt free 4th April 2007.

First of all email your seller using his email address, and see if he gets back to you he could be suspended for any number of reasons including his ebay fees being overdue! I think its far to early to start talking about chargebacks you need to try and get in touch with your seller first

Of course if you dont hear anything back from your seller than proceed with a chargeback but i think it is way to soon to start thinking along those lines Emmzi

Ahh, I didn't think I had the email address but I've found it on the paypal receipt - great idea, I've dropped him a line. How long would be reasonable to wait for a reply?0 -
I personally would give it a week, though i would say if you havent heard anything after 3-4 days (which i reckon you will have, whats his feedback like?) I would request his details from ebay and give him a call, i know he is in germany and it wont be that cheap to call him but it may well put your mind at rest

Yippee, I've had a reply back from the seller :-) He says another seller has complained to ebay that the paintings they sell are too similar to theirs, so ebay have suspended his account pending investigation. He assures me my purchase will be sent shortly, so I'll wait and see - but I'm feeling a lot better about it.0
