Hotel Heathrow terminal 5?

Does anyone know of a cheap hotel very close to term 5, or a way to get cheap rates at Sofitel??

The Travelodge for T5 isn't really that close to T5 and you'd probably need to fork out £6 each for the Hotel Hoppa bus to get there.

    You'd be better off staying somewhere like the Holiday Inn on Bath Road (not the Ariel) and using a discount code from this thread;

You can get the 423 bus from outside which takes you to T5 in 5 mins and is free!

hi, have you heard of yotel? Its a Japanese capsule hotel..check it out onine, its not as farrr out as you would think.
Ive just stayed at the gatwick one between flights, and would very much recommend it for price and location. Its actually in airport terminals. I was lucky that i didnt have to leave my terminal once. and having the likes of M&S on the doorstep its very MSE.
Just checked and London Heathrow at its at arrivals at Terminal 4.

you can take a free bus from terminal 4 to terminal 5.

otherwise Jurys Inn you can walk to Hatton Cross and take those same free buses - bit further though.

Indeed. There are a huge number of hotels around Heathrow all with excess capacity (fewer business travellers around) so you can always get an excellent last minute deal.

All airport hotels the world over are bad - they are designed for people crashing for 6 hours rather than long stays - but you can always get something reasonable for around £50 a night.

I Love staying at The Yotel! .. infact it's the only place i stay when flying from Gatwick/Heathrow.

  • If you can book a little way ahead try go simply hotels, they list Heathrow hotels by star rating and distance from the airport,There are also mystery hotels with no description but with star rating and distance.
So compare the distances and get somewhere like the Sherato Skyline for £44.00 per night instead of £89.00,we did just that last year, great.

Whenever I need to stay at LHR, I refer on this site.

    http://www.londontoolkit.com/travel/heathrow_hotels.htm

An excellent summary of where they all are and, crucially, which free buses you need to get there.

For T5, if I couldn't get the Sofitel (which is linked by a walkway), I'd be looking at the ones in and around the Bath Rd (numbers 5-9 and 15-22ish on the map).

I'd stay at the T5 Travelodge, its closer than you think. You can see it from T5 departures level. Hotel hopper is £4 each way, but you can get a local taxi for £6 if there is more than one of you, it could be worth while. Other than that you can get the Jurys Inn at T4/Hatton Cross for £49 and again you can get a hotel hopper bus, or walk over to Hatton Cross and get free public bus to T5. or the tube (which costs about £3)
There is also a B&B near by called The Heathrow Lodge, its clean, quite and WALKING distance from T5 (bear that in mind tho when your asleep on your bed and those 747's start landing at 5am!)
