Bought faulty item, dispute closed in seller's favour - advice needed please!

    That's probably one reason for the 21 day hold, paypal were having to cover chargebacks from thei rown funds so if they hold enough payments they won't lose as much.

    In that case you are correct, apologies. However if the same thing happened now you would be covered, which is worth knowing.

    Court action i would imagine although you'll have to weigh up how much the item is worth and the innitial cost of the court process. Around £50 if i remember correctly, which you might not get back in a worse case senario and you lost the case.
    You could just try a letter informing them of your intent to go to court, but for all of this you do need a name and address.

    Could you sell it on as spares/faulty to regain some of your cash?
