Interparcel or parcel2go?

Options
Hi all,

After reading this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/46480 i don't know what to think. A lot of criticism for interparcel but tons of people saying they are decent and those criticising appear to be newly registered members, working for competitors.

I need to send printed art to Pakistan (about 20 or so A4 pages)

DHL is really expensive direct (around £45) whereas interparcel charge £28 but i need them to get there within a week, iam scared if i choose interparcel things will screw up.

I don't mind paying a few pounds extra for say parcel2go or collectmyparcel.com but can people just recommend their best bet?

Thanks

Interparcel are fine, I use them everyday, on the odd occasion anything has gone wrong, they've been great.

The problem with internet forums is only the screamers post, the happy customers don't, so almost all companies end up with bad reviews from nutters.

I always use Interparcel if I have something unsuitable for Royal Mail. I've never had any problems and when I had to contact their customer services (I put the wrong dimensions in) the phone was answered straight away and it was sorted with no problems.

I use Parcel2go for most heavy items as RM is far too expensive!

Only had a few miss-haps but very minor ones. They have live chat too, which is handy for tracking down items.

If its 20 sheets of A4 paper as the OP says it wont be that heavy and royal mail may be a better option.

Thanks, yeah pricewise RM would be cheapest but i need it there within 4 days which Interparcel can do with DHL. RM passes it on to the state postal provider who inevitably end up taking much longer than the quoted 3-7 days.

Went with interparcel anyway, picking up tomorrow i hope everything goes smoothly!

Collected today which is good! Although i may be worrying over nothing i put down the customs value as £40, it is printed art that i have made which cost me £40 to make using equipment etc and i put £40 so if it got lost i coudl claim that back. Now thinking i should have put £0 down sicne the 'street value' of the art is obviously nothing and it might get delayed or i might get charges?

If you put 0 as the customs value, you'll get more probelms than by putting £40.

It's best to be truthfull on customs declarations.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Never had a bad experience with parcel2go nor interparcel. Have used both about 6 times per month for the past year.
