  • Do you remember that chat we had about someone organising this, and how I didn't want to do it, having no local knowledge..............................................?

Vaguely......! In all honesty I don't know if i would have the time available to organise it on my own - the past few months life has been crapping on me from a great height and life is very unpredictable. I'll have a think - i just don't want to commit to organising it, and do a half a&&ed job if I'm perfectly honest:o

  • I will help and do chivvying along, and rounding up if needs be, you could just do where to go planning if we come to Belfast, if we go to Dublin we'll persuade one if the coleens down there to do it.

So, how about it? Anyone else interested in trying to meet up? I will have another wee look at Ryanair - they must be due another cheap flight deal about now.

I can help with the organising as well if I'm needed but as Jackie says it would be better for a local person to suggest a pub to meet in as they obviously know their area better than us. On the other meet up threads they haven't been posting the venue on the thread but instead PM'ing people nearer the time with the exact location.

So I guess the only other things to decide on are the dates and whether we all fancy Dublin or Belfast ? I've not been to any of them so would be happy to go with the majority, although isn't Dublin very expensive tho ?

I would also be travelling from Prestwick, Jackie.
  • Ah but if we do Dublin we can travel there and back in a day, Belfast requires an overnight stay because of the flight times, so they'll probably be eachy-peachy pricewise ;)

I think I might make a weekend of it but will defo stay at least one night cos I want to have a few drinks and make a day/night of it without having to jump on a flight the same day. As it will be my first visit to Ireland I wanna make a wee holiday out of it, it's a long way to go for just one day I'm thinking but will depend on cash as well I guess.....

There's a Glasgow meet up next weekend for anyone that hasn't seen the thread on the arms board - u going Jackie ? we could chat about Ireland there if u are.
