there is more to work than serving cutomers like making their service areas clean, stacking shelves, pricing goodsIncidently i don't know any shop staff who are only paid when actually serving a customer.
if we can get more from the op then we can find out exactly what she does.The OP is working from 7am - 11.00pm officially she says. That in itself is wrong. I don't see being on call as the issue here, but the 16 hour days0 -
Thank you all for your advice. I must point out that this is not a live a live-in position, when I finish at 9am I go home to my family and my bills! I do get breakfast on weekdays and lunch and supper on Sundays but thats it.
I havent actually signed anything yet as I am refusing to do so until I know exactly what I am signing up for (or signing away), but ACAS, although helpful to a point, were not really able to offer any real answer and suggested I try the DTI (which is like a nightmare to navigate to the right page I have so far spent 5 hours reading the various articles and still havent found a definitive answer).
Anyway thank you all for your time and efforts I really do appreciate it.Member since Sept 2003, been comping seriously since 2004 and so far have won.........
