Keyhole Garden constructed from cans
Can anyone out there help please, before I go mad? I remember, a while back, seeing instructions on the web for building a keyhole garden (usually constructed from big stones) from empty drinks cans. I want to get the children at school to make one, but have lost the instructions and can't find them anywhere on the web now.
Thanks a million!

Shows a group of children from Lesotho building one with instructions on how they are doing it, hope this helps.

How inspirational! I watched the Lesotho video and am so pleased for the children to have learned this method to grow food in a difficult weather terrain where food so often fails to grow using traditional methods of veg growing.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

Thank you all very much for your comments and links. I still can't find the one I want though. It was specifically about building one from used drinks cans, and it's driving me mad that I can't find it at all. Maybe there's some reason, now, why you can't use drinks cans (elf and safety?).0

I've never seen one solely made of drinks cans, the drinks cans are supposed to go in the bottom of the stone ones as they provide nutrients as they rust and rot down.0 -
The sides were definitely constructed from drinks cans, base outwards and stacked on top of each other. Still can't find it.0

Are you sure it wasnt 2 litre plastic fizzy drink bottles? I remember seeing this on tv and thinking it was a great idea. You stacked the bottles on top of each other and they slotted in together. It made a type of greenhouse.0

Thank you for these links. What a fabulous idea. We have a circular strawberry bed in the garden with some very poor soil in it. I'm now thinking about digging out a basket area.0
