Mine from slc is being paid on 18th of this month. I wont have started uni though which i think is a bit odd - but lucky for me as I need to get some decent new clothes and stuff for when I start.Sam0

Mine always gives a date before I start, but you won't actually get paid until you enrol. You enrol, then the students loan company are informed and then it takes about 3 days to go into your bank account.0 -

Yes. You usually get paid 3 working days after you enrol. This is to make sure you actually enrol and that they don't pay anyone a student loan who is not enrolled on a course.0 -

Thanks! I iust read the letter properly and it does say available from 18th but will be credited into my account 3 days after they receive confirmation of my enrolment onto the course! I thought it seemed too good to be true, lol! :rolleyes:Sam0 -
Yes - you do not get paid anything until you enrole. It's usually 3-5 days then until your first installment hits your account...
The final two 'payments' of the year are automatically addedd to your account on the 1st day of your new term...April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200 -

That's because a lot of unis will allow early registration - especially if you are a returning student (i.e. year 2, 3, etc). The money is in place to match...April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200 -

so you mean one third of your total student loan for the year gets paid- what about your grants and bursuries? are they paid in installments too as well as at the same time as the student loan?0 -

Yes, they are spilt into 3 payments and paid at the same time as your student loan.0
