Suspending BT line whilst on det

Hey
When I was on R&R, it occurred to me that I should have got my phone line suspended for the duration of my det. Called up BT and the first guy I spoke to said, no, we don't do that, you'd have to cancel and you're still under contract, etc, etc. After a short while, he then did say, oh I can transfer you to our Military Team (or something similar). Guy I spoke to was really helpful, said they either needed 14 days notice or would suspend it then and charge me for the first 14 days but not the rest. I just have to call when I'm back and they'll reconnect it. I might have to get a new number, but well worth not spending the money when nobody is going to be using the line.
