Urgent help - clamped in Southall (Iceland Car Park)

Hi
I also got clamped at the same car park over the weekend at 1 minute past 9 while my pregnant wife was in the car and I was standing outside. We were about to leave when our car was immobilised. The alamper was really rude too. Is there a chance to lose more money if I sue them?0 -
No, you won't lose any more money (besides a possible £30 for a Court Fee you will eventually pay to bring this to Small Claims Court - recoverable if/when you win).
Read my thread all the way through on this forum - it's worth detailing your case on that website after you join on there, as they specialise in such cases -

BTW - if you post up your receipt or other paperwoork, make sure you obscure your personal details and Car Reg - but only on the SCANNED version of the receipt (don't tamper with the original!).0 -
Issue a notice before action to the clamper, but more importantly the land/lease owner, as they are the ones that you have more chance getting your money back from, as they are more likely to have assets.
Search the forums there are plenty of threads telling you how to do this and post pepipoo, they are the real experts.0 -

P.S. Did they try to tow the car? If so, that might be illegal given someone was in the car.
P.P.S. On the other forum, start a new (fresh) thread for your case. By all means cross-reference with mine.0 -

No they did not. The guy only threatened to tow the car away. We came back to the parking lot just before 9PM. We were getting ready to leave. My wife was in the car and I was standing outside giving directions to my friend, in another car, about how to reach my home. This guy came out of nowhere and before I realized what was happenning, he was setting up the immobilizer! Everything happenned in a fraction of a second.0
