Paid for £500 item but it's gone in as an echeque?

I didt have enough in my paypal so that's why it went in as an echeque. But it wont clear until 9th Sept. So can I cancel that and add funds from my bank into my paypal acct - how long would this take?

I think if the person you are paying doesnt have a premiere account you can only send echeques or money from your paypal account (not credit or debit card payments)thats already in there but when i had this same problem recently there was no option to transfer the money from my bank without an equally long wait. My echeque took 9 days to clear. I just emailed the seller and she was happy to wait.0
