Chest freezer - what size should I buy?

I currently have a small fridge freezer that is on it's last legs. I'm looking to buy a tall larder fridge - 10.2 cuft - for the kitchen and a chest freezer for under the stairs.
I'm not sure what size chest freezer would be best. There's me, OH, 2 year old DD, and a bump that's due in December, so i'm trying to think long term here and accomodate two growing tummies as I don't intend to replace these again for a while!!
I've seen a couple of 3.8 cuft ones that will fit ok under the stairs, but the larger 6.1 cuft ones wouldn't fit sideways on so i'd be leaning over from the side if that makes sense!? The difference in price is £30 so I want to make the right choice now, rather than paying twice in the long run!
Opinions please!!!!

Which ever you decide look for a class A engergy efficient freezer, these tend not to be the frost free ones due to the amount of electric they use. I personally would advise against a chest freezer as they are very difficult to clean out (only my personal experience)

I personally would go for the biggest one i could fit incomfortably. I always have more than enough food to freeze. Great too for when you pick up all those BOGOF's. Chest frezers seem better when you want to put bigger items in i.e Turkey. I miss my chest freezer. We bought an uprite one 2 years ago. But like Kat21 said chest freezers are more difficult to clean. When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile
