Camp food

Come on folks, give me your best ideas for camping food. I can get fresh meat etc every day, and I've got an electric cool box thingy.

One pot wonders are the best - can of stewing steak, can of potatoes, can of vegetables!

Pasta is easy. Onion, garlic, tomatoes, chili flakes is a basic sauce then you can add whatever you feel. Chicken, prawns, tinned crab, olives, aubergine, courgette, peppers, spicy sausage, pancetta etc etc.

Stir fries, curries, chili con carne, burritos are all quick and easy.
  • boil in the bag rice, tin of curry or chilli. Beans n sausage and stuff like that.

A nice fry up in a big frying pan - make it all in one!

I think that if you have an electric cool box, you can make almost anything you would have at home - except a sunday roast.:D

Don't forget the BBQ if it is a nice day!

We went camping and whilst we did the beans on top of a small gas stove thing.... friends went to the back of their car and pulled out a George Foreman grill and we had such a good meal. I know what I would take now!!

When we went camping, we took a huge salami, chorizo, ham, cheese, fruit, sausages, chicken portions, eggs, pasta, tomatoes, cucumber, lots of rolls, juice, water, teabags, and beer. Easy, and perfect.
