Just stop watching the idiot box alltogether!

Think of all the hours you will have free to do something with your life

I did this 2 months ago and have setup a side buisiness! Also spare time for learning and other projects (well tbh the business is taking up 100% of my spare time now lol)

Now there's an idea for a challenge! What can you get accomplished in 6 months will no idiot box! Not sure I could cope with NO tv at all but to have less of it and set up a side line in something would be godd. Now just have to think what? Anyone got any ideas?

Be carefull with freeview boxes we have one that works really well and two other makes did not work at all - just said "no signal". I rang the helpline to ask why and they said different boxes have better componants.

Also on NTL (we used to have that) you cannot always use the button to select different screens i.e. picking which match to watch at Wimbledon. That was a couple of years ago, might be OK now.
