cheap places to eat in cringleford, norfolk?

Hi everyone

We have booked a cheap Travelodge night in Cringleford in August and are planning to take the kids (3 & 6) to Dinosaur Adventure and the safari park nearby (can't remember name now).

Any advice on cheap places to eat evening meal and possibly breakfast without driving too far away from either theme park or Travelodge. Or anywhere that takes Clubcard vouchers even better as have a few saved up.

thanks a bundle in advance:D

    Hi there

Really depends how far you are willing to drive - the Dinosaur Park is a fair way away from Cringleford itself, totally opposite side of the city, so depends if you want to go somewhere on the way back or nearer the Travelodge?

There is a Brewers Fayre next to Norwich Airport, which isnt much of a detour from the route back from the Dinosaur park if you are going along the main routes through the city centre as opposed to cross country. If you are wanting a lunch time/afternoon meal or snacks there is a lovely little cafe called Maxims at Morton on the Hill, just a few miles past the Dinosaur park - they serve til 5pm as far as I remember. They do the most fantastic cakes there and delicious food, they also have a small craft/giftshop.

There is a Castle Carvery in Bowthorpe, which isnt a million miles away from Cringleford, but is back towards Norwich. They have a soft play area too which is handy to know! Food is always good here in my experience and my daughter has had her birthday parties here several times too.

There is also a Table Table restaurant as part of the Premier Inn at the Norfolk Showground / A47 - have not eaten here since it changed from a Brewers Fayre, but their menu's look reasonable.

Just round the corner from here is a massive Sainsburys and next to that is a Pizza Hut and also a KFC if you fancy something along those lines.

Which Safari park are you going to? If I know where it is I can see if I know of any other places that may be useful to you.

    Hope that helps!

There is also the village inn at little melton only 5 mins drive from the travelodge - turn onto the A47 westbound (signposted kings lynn) and take the first exit off signposted watton. Take a left and then take immediate left turn signposted little melton . It's a crown carvery - all main courses £3.59. You can also get to it cross country but prob need a sat nav

We also use the A47 to get to the dinosaur park, it's signposted quite clearly and avoids the inner ring road.
