I gues it depends on how you value the warranty as you can get this for £599 on dixons.co.uk or a bit less if you have a code you are eligible to use.Chubby_Checker wrote:Just seen it (32wlt66) in John Lewis store (so with 5 year guarantee) for only £679. It's not just the warranty you get with John Lewis, it's the customer service. They have just come top in a Which survey as the best overall for customer satisfaction. Also, there aren't too many negative posts about them on these boards.
They also have a pricematch policy, if you find it cheaper within 28 days, at a shop (not internet), they will refund the difference.
The choice is yours.0 -
Currys and PC World have this for £599.99, if you order to collect from store, would that not make it eligible for a John Lewis price match?
Just wondered.0 -
just in case anyone doesn't realise - there's also the wl66 available - the same thing without the tuner.
The best I've seen for that is around £529 I think.0 -
I think that it has to be the in-store price which is displayed on the ticket at the store. Check on AVForums under LCD they have a thread dedicated to the John Lewis price match on all manner of LCD TVs.Jim_UK wrote:Currys and PC World have this for £599.99, if you order to collect from store, would that not make it eligible for a John Lewis price match?

I have this model - had it since it came out cost me £999.99 at the time
Pictre quality is excellent as is the sound.
2 HDMI connections - maybe one day i'll be able to afford a hd-dvd player to use one on - lol
I use the component input for an xbox360 - it really does look stunning when in HD.
Had a look at several models when i was buying this including the samsung and the panasonic - there was nothing that matched this for picture or sound quality.
Even though its came down £400 odd in price now if i was in the same position again i'd buy it again - no regrets at all.0
