Got a letter from barclays today saying there going to close my savings account on the 20/07/2010. The account has just been opened i have no idea why this is be closed.
Any advice to what i should do as there customer service team are so awful and cant understand a wod of english.

Why not visit a branch? I've never had a problem when visiting in person0

I don't understand why they haven't given you a reason if they've taken the trouble to write to you.
You don't say what savings account you are referring to but maybe you don't qualify for the account or, perhaps, there is an identity problem.

Theories....
1. You haven't actually put any money in the account yet.
2. You have a duplicate account
3. There is some query regarding money laundering or similar
4. You no longer qualify (or never did) for the account.
Pop into branch with the letter and they will help. Let us know how you get on.Remember this: nothing worth doing is easy.0
