PayPal: Managed to get a laugh out of advisor

Have finally mastered it.

I managed to get a laugh out of a PayPal CS advisor in their American call centre, some very minor conversation too.

She was quite good actually, was clearly trying to follow her scripts to the letter, and for a brief glimmer of a moment, I got to know HER.

This is in total contrast to these call centres where the staff won't talk or are convinced they're being tested or something.

Well done to PayPal!! Sorted out my query too.

eBay was reporting;

"You must have a Premier or Business PayPal account to require immediate
payment. If you want to require immediate payment, upgrade your paypal
account."

I have a premier account and it wasn't recognising my changed email addresses.

Creating 'another' PayPal email address different from eBay seemed to kick it into action. It wasn't documented as an issue.

We worked together on the phone trying ideas. Had been getting bounced back between eBay and PayPal support;

I quote eBay's response;
"Alison, I am eager to help you solve this out. But please note that
though PayPal is owned by eBay, they continue to operate their own
Customer service. We do not have access to the PayPal accounts. So, I
have forwarded your mail to the appropriate department within PayPal.
They will deal with your query at the earliest opportunity.
"

I quote PayPal's response;

"PayPal can answer PayPal-related inquiries only. To find the answer to your eBay inquiry you will need to contact eBay Customer Support by following the steps below:"

    Oh, I dunno,

    I seem to manage to get a few things done occasionally.

    Must be keeping in touch with my feminine side, I suppose.

    OTOH, I don't think I could ever get the idea that chocolate isn't "just another food item".
