windows update crash

in Techie Stuff
is anyone else having trouble with the latest vista update
it installs and then next time i boot up it windows won't load ,
on rebooting it offers to repair which it does and system restore but then s it installs it again when i shut down :mad:
is it possible to remove it so it wont download it again or is there a way to find out what is causing the conflict

Open Windows update
Click View available updates
Select update required
Right click and press hide update
Close window0
