Cheques & Cheque Guarantee in Shops

Hi,

Does anyone know which shops still accept cheques / cheque guarantees?

    The Post Office still takes them for some things, but cheques really are a hassle. Debit cards are the way forward.

    I would view someone wanting to pay with a cheque and cheque guarantee card with suspicion these days especially as in most cases a debit card and CGC are one and the same.

    The cheque guarantee scheme is ending July 2011, banks have various dates when they intend to stop issuing cheque guarantee cards on card renewals.

    The only time when using a cheque and CGC is more useful than using a debit card is when you know the debit card (where there is the option to use either) will be refused due to insufficient funds.
    Remember this: nothing worth doing is easy.

    which would be against the T&CS of the account as this is technically fraud
