Is there any point keeping an Egg card open?

I've got an Egg card with no balance which I have kept open just in case they ever have good BT offers. However all my other debt is on low life of balance so I'm not likely to take an offer that is for a short time or has a fee. Are they likely to give me any spectacularly good offers (eg 0% with no fee) or should I just close it? Advice welcome.

    Reasons for closing:

    1. The available credit may affect other credit card applications you make. However, it sounds like you don't need to make any, being as your debt is on "low LOB rates"?

    2. Don't need to keep checking the account for fraudulent use/CPAs that you'd forgotten etc, bearing in my mind you don't get paper statements.

    3.

    Reasons for keeping:

    1. They could make you a good offer. They have had good offers in the past.

    2. You can pay cash into your current account from this card...and it's fee-free from a positive balance. If you decide to keep it for this reason alone then consider reducing the limit to £500 or so.
