How long should I wait....

I bought some carparts from a seller (with 241 feedback 100%) on the 25/8. About a week later I wrote to him since I had not received the items. I asked if he had sent the items and if so when (knowing it had been a bankholiday and they could have been delayed) 2 days ago I received a reply saying
"Hi
I had to have these sent direct from my supplier I will phone up to check when they were sent out to you.
I apologise and will back to you asap, as soon as I get an answer from them"

How long should I wait for my items? Is there anything I can do in the meantime? If I dont receive them at all what steps should I take???

I would give him another couple of days - maybe until the end of play on Friday then email him to say that unless you receive the goods by date x - you will start a dispute with paypal (assume you paid by paypal). You dont even have to wait if you really dont trust the person or just want to start the dispute though I think I would give until the end of the week and if you havent heard anything back then do something.

    I did use paypal.
If I decide to start a dispute where would I go? I have never had to do this before so not sure where to find the link on ebay.

I wouldnt start a dispute as yet - would give him until the end of the week but thats upto you. Log into your paypal account and open a dispute - file a dispute that matches what you are claiming - in your case it will be for item not received. The seller will then have to respond to this and probably have to prove that you have received it in order to be able to keep his money - I dont see that he can win a dispute by saying that he is waiting for the item to come from the suppliers - if he didnt have the item then he shouldnt have put it on ebay surely?!
