Please help - payments into someone elses account

Hi,
Really hope someone can help.
My boyfriend has just bought a house and I'm going to be moving in with him at some point. I'll be helping with the bills but we don't want to pay this through a joint bank account.
I have a bad credit rating and we have read that if we have a joint bank account, my negative credit rating would become associated with him too.
My question is, If we paid the bills from an account in his name, is it legal for me to set up a regular monthly standing order into his account? Or would the bank assume that this might be dodgy?
Please help

Really don't see why the bank could regard it as 'dodgy'!
Shouldn't be a problem at all.
Or, to also help with your credit rating, agree for you to pay one (or more) of the utility bills.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
Its a good idea to have at least one utility in your name for ID purposes.
Council tax is not always the best since this is issued once a year and some ID needs to be based on bils that are relatively young, a solicitor iam using prefered <3months.0 -
Thank you so much for your replies.
If we had the utilities in both our names, could my credit rating have any negative impact on my boyfriend by doing this?
Many thanks0
