Suggestions for keeping personal belongings safe

We are visiting a warmer country later this summer and intend to spend a great deal of our time on the beach and as much as possible in the sea. I am (perhaps unduly) concerned about the safety of our personal belongings (wallets, keys, phones, etc.) on the beach while we are in the sea. Theoretically, anybody could pass by and steal something.
Has anybody shared the same thoughts? Would anybody be able to suggest solutions for keeping our stuff safe? I have seen on the Internet some (allegedly) waterproof cases which would help us take some (limited stuff) into the sea for safe keeping but I am not sure if this is a practical idea.
If anybody has any suggestions (including recommendations for specific products), I would be grateful to hear from you.
Many thanks

Any help, please?0

Aquapac stuff is great. It's completely reliable and waterproof and in the unlikely event you drop it, it floats! I had a small key case which is fine for keys, cards and notes.0

Lock most of your valuables in your accomodation and take only the bare minimum with you, do you really need a phone with you on the beach?0

Yeah just don't take it to the beach.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

I've had something similar to this http://www.caving-gear.co.uk/show_product.asp?id=828 for years - easily big enough for keys and a few beer vouchers... (as above, everything else left in the room).0

At our local beach people take nothing but a towel - no clothes, cossies, nothing - not that I've noticed of course
. If you have to worry about it don't take it. 0 -

Thanks for this. Is this one http://www.aquapac.net/ukstore/keymaster-br-604-2675-0.html able to hold stuff other than a couple of keys?
Also, I have spotted this site http://www.over-board.co.uk/
Any views on how they compare to Aquapac? They seem to be somewhat cheaper0 -
overboard stuff is great. I use is for keeping stuff dry when I go scuba diving.
but I agree with Bob the Saver - Leave everything at home!
If you can't, then leave it on the glovebox in the car and just take the key. Just DON'T please ever use one of these: I could break it in a millisecond. You would be better off burying your cash in the sand under your towel.......
