Disabled identity card

Hi, I didn’t agree with the identity card scheme but I do feel that there is a need for a similar scheme for disabled people, I have an invisible disability (epilepsy) and I often get some peculiar looks when I ask for disabled / carers discount of even when I use a disabled parking space. Does anyone else think that if you are eligible for a blue badge it would be a good idea to be issued with a similar credit card sized one?

You could get a freedom pass, which would have the same effect.
Generally none at all, as you'll just get accused of being a faker with a badge instead.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

You might be able to get something from your local council. Mine (Nottinghamshire) provide a free registration card if you apply.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

Don't know about epilepsy, but I know Hearing Concern Link does both credit card sized cards and badges with a range of logos for that invisible disability. Of course anyone can order and use one, but they can help with letting people know what your communication needs are.Signature removed for peace of mind0

I'm a member of the Epilepsy Association. They give you a credit card sized card with your emergency contact number & name on and brief instructions on how to deal with a seizure. I also have a DP bus pass which shows you have a disability.0

Lots of us with problems don't qualify for a Blue Badge so that wouldn't be ideal.0
