How Much Discount to Push for With Kitchen Company?

We are in the process of buying a new kitchen and we have pinned it down to a Leicht Kitchen. The quote was for the units only was just over £10k and he said he would give 20% of.
Haven't really pushed him (yet) and it does annoy me when someone just hits the 20% button and it shows no work has gone into the price.
Happy to push hard as we have done all the design work and though they did some pretty pictures on a computer program we did all the hard work, to us they are just providing boxes so if they make a few bob good but I don't believe they should make much.
Anyone any idea on what margins these guys normally make and what we should push for discount wise?

Thanks units only (excluding appliances, install etc..) is coming in at £12k incl Vat, £9.5k with discount. Happy with the brand and design (we did all that) so will push him for more but also will contact 2 other Leicht resellers for comparable quotes. Thanks0 -

What actually happened for you to get a quote from this Leicht dealer?
Did the designer visit your home, do a survey, take into account all of your requirments, how many people in the household, how often you go shopping, what sort of foods you cook and then did you re visit the showroom to see the scheme on the CAD system and go through the position of everything, discuss unit internals, colours of everything, doors, worktop, handles and appliances?
Or, did you design the layout of your new kitchen and just give to the designer a list of units you need?
Basically if the desgner did the design work then you have to pay for this knowledge and expertise, they also take on the responsibilty for managing the project. I suspect as the designer has discounted the cabinetry by 20% already, then you went in with your list of 'boxes'.

What are the other quotes you have come to?
We have looked at other manufacturers but the kitchen and design we like is the Leicht brand and at the moment we have only got 1 price from a Leicht re seller @ £10k + Vat with 20% discount.
We hold the design so happy to go to 2 other Leicht re-sellers for prices.0 -

Their involvement has been minimal. Their inital design was poor and my wife did all the design work. The reseller is at present changing kitchen brands and doesn't have a show room so we did 2 x 100 mile round trips to see a dem from another Leicht re-seller. By looking at the dem room we saw units we wanted that the local guy had not brought to our attention.
All in all I have no loyalty to the local person as their work has been very poor. They are only providing boxes to use based upon all our work in looking at the brand they sell so I am loath to give them much for their work.
I fully understand loyalty and paying a price for this but not in this case?0 -

how the heck can these guys start the pricing for a kitchen at 10k then go down to 4-5k
Just think some mugs do pay 10k or the first price mentioned. I really hate the hassle with kitchens and DG.
And the fitting is sometimes subcontracted out or done by self employed fitters.0 -

Hunt for other makes or non branded/less well known makes many are very similar0
