My 4/5 year old Canon seems to have given up the ghost, at the worst possible time
Looking for something cheap, that prints good quality
Any recommendations before we visit Curry's tomorrow?
I have a new Mac, though I should think any modern printer will work with both.

OK, no bother. Just as well I got one today without checking to see if I had any replies :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

I ended up with another Canon
Pixma MP270 All-in-one for £60, which I didn't think was too bad. Best thing is it only needs two ink catridges, not five like my old one

Last time we bought a printer at work I talked it over with Cartridge World with whom we have an account. They did not want to sell us a printer but gave us very good advice on running costs.
We wanted a colour desk jet for occasional colour printing and they advised a Canon but one that has several cartridges of different colours rather than one colour one as it will mean that you use up all of the cartridge when you ma only need to repalce the blue one.0 -
It may have been a little cheaper online, but I needed it a.s.a.p. I am happy with a black and a colour cartridge, as don't need to use it that often, but when ink does run out I found at least two went on my old one at a time.0
