MSE News: Supermarkets cut petrol prices

I had a right rant at Tesco's 'customer service'. Everytime they do the 5p off petrol. My tesco garage hikes the cost of petrol to more than any in the area. My local jet is 117.9 and yet tesco jumps to 119.9 then minus your 5p off per litre. Then, when it ends it goes back down to around 115/116.....and it happens eveytime they do it. It really irritates me!TOTAL 2013 £3100
TOTAL 2014 £1250

I've got no idea how petrolprices.com find their cheapest petrol. I've been paying 112.9p for unleaded at my local sainsbury's for weeks. ASDA has been 113.9ppl until last night, when I noticed it's dropped to 112.9, so I'm hoping sainsbury's will be down to 111.9p I live in hope!
How do they calculate petrol prices anyway? It's a mystery to me. I live in North Tyneside, where, as I said, I'm paying 112.9p at sainsbury's and a few other petrol stations. I work in Durham, where the cheapest petrol I can get is 115.9 again at sainsburys. OK, fair enough, Durham is 20 miles south of Tyneside you might say, but travel another 20 miles down the A1 to Darlington (where I went to a meeting last week) and the petrol stations there are back to 112.9 again! Crazy!OS weight loss challenge: 4.5/6 lbs0 -
112.9 for unleaded at a Shell Filling Station in Leyland, Lancs. today. I've noticed some of the company outlets with branded fuel aren't far off the supermarket prices nowadays.0
