We have plans to move sometime next year, hopefully to the commuter belt in Kent so we should hav less trouble finding a freehold. We have managed okay in the flat with our 10 month old, but with a double buggy it will be more of a struggle.
We can't really deal with the upheaval before then as DH is working sometimes 80 hour weeks, and I am obviously becoming steadily more pregnant.

The Billboard sounds really good, I am going to meet with the freeholder this afternoon so will discuss it with him. Though I'm sure he would have done it already if he was interested!
Thanks again. I guess we will have to take out a loan to cover these costs (grrr)

  • Or your billboard money to cover these costs! You could dispute the costs which would buy you mroe time, and insist that he has obtained 3 quotes from local businesses. If he hasn't you are not obliged to pay up. But don't say anything until the work has gone ahead, if you haven't got the money you want to hope he hasn't got 3 quotes! You then have grounds to say his prices are unreasonable, which protects you from legal action.
